Introduction
Samsung J2 Battery – Samsung launched the Galaxy J2, the company’s entry-level 4G smartphone priced at Rs. 8,490 last month. It is the first smartphone from the company to introduce the new Ultra Data Saving mode powered by Opera Max, which allows users to save data by enabling data optimization.
Samsung’s flagship smartphones are (and always have been) considered some of the best (if not the best) Android offers. However, once you look beyond the gorgeous AMOLED panels and feature-enhancing S-Pens, you realize there’s more to the chaebol’s mobile wallet than meets the eye. Between the mid-range A series and the affordable J series, the number of smartphones made by Samsung is simply staggering.
Samsung J2 Battery, Display, Hardware and Design
Samsung J2 Battery – Opening the back cover reveals SIM card slots, a microSD card slot, and a removable 2000 mAh battery. The Galaxy J2 features a 4.7-inch Super AMOLED display with a pixel resolution of 964 x 540 pixels and a pixel density of approximately 234 PPI. The screen is bright, has good viewing angles, delivers vibrant colour output, and has good sunlight visibility. The blacks are perfectly black, thanks to the AMOLED panel. Since the pixel density is low, the text is not sharp compared to other smartphones with HD screens.
Since it doesn’t have an ambient light sensor, you must manually adjust the brightness using the slider depending on the conditions. An outdoor mode option increases the brightness for 15 minutes or until the screen turns off. The smartphone’s design is similar to other J-series phones, with curved corners and chrome trim on the sides.
Samsung J2 Battery, Camera
Firstly, The 5-megapixel camera with autofocus and f/2.2 aperture is just average. Daylight shots are fine, but the images aren’t bright. Macro shots are hard to focus on. Low-light photos are full of noise, and flash images are fine as they provide enough light and aren’t overwhelming. Apart from auto mode, it has Pro mode that allows you to manually adjust white balance, ISO and exposure, panorama, continuous shooting, face beauty, sound and shot, sight and sports. The phone does not have an HDR mode.

Samsung J2 Battery and Samsung J2 Core Battery
The Samsung Galaxy J2 Core has a removable back panel, which you can lift with your fingernail. This is how you access the dual SIM card slots, dedicated microSD expansion slot, and removable 2600mAh battery. As is frequently the case with budget smartphones, there is no fingerprint sensor.
Now let’s talk a bit about the screen. Samsung’s specific strategy in India means it often has to save on component costs to make a phone feasible at a given price, and that was evident when I first looked at the J2 Core’s HD panel. The phone’s screen has a resolution of 540×960 pixels, which is significantly lower than the HD or HD+ resolution screens you get on some competing devices. A 720p panel would undoubtedly have improved things.
Samsung Galaxy J2 Core Android Go Specifications
However, The Samsung Galaxy J2 Core sports a 5-inch qHD TFT screen with a resolution of 960×540 pixels. It is powered by the company’s Exynos 7570 processor combined with the ARM Mali-T720 MP2 GPU. The device comes with 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of internal storage, stretchy up to 128 GB via microSD card. It runs Google’s Android 8.1 Oreo (Go Edition) operating system with Samsung’s Experience UI on top. All of this is backed by a removable 2600 mAh battery.
Conclusion
Samsung J2 Battery – Priced at Rs. 8,490, the Galaxy J2 is just a mid-budget 4G smartphone from Samsung. It comes with a decent AMOLED display for the price, supports 4G on both SIM slots and offers good battery life, but Samsung once again missed out on the ambient light sensor for automatic brightness adjustment. Some additions, like Ultra data saving mode and MixRadio, are excellent, but hardware matters too. Although the camera is decent for a 5-megapixel device, Samsung could have offered an 8-megapixel camera for the price. It is the same for the processor and the RAM.
